Uniform design and 3D-assets for research and expedition vessel REV Ocean.
Scope
Client
REV Ocean is one of the most advanced research and expedition vessels in the world.
We were tasked with contributing to digitally designing the official uniforms for the crew via their design partner Team Kameleon, ensuring they were functional enough for life at sea while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic. To help the team visualize the final products, we also developed high-fidelity 3D assets of the gear, allowing for a seamless transition from concept to the deck of the ship.
To minimize waste and speed up the design cycle, we utilized a cutting-edge 3D workflow.
We built the initial garments digitally through CLO3D to perfect the fit, drape, and technical details before any physical fabric was cut.
To showcase the collection, we created a high-fidelity teaser video using Blender and Unreal Engine. By placing the digital uniforms in hyper-realistic ocean environments, we were able to visualize the final collection in its natural element long before the ship set sail.
